Welcome to the Phil Hope Website

This website aims to keep you informed about what I am doing to fulfil my duties as the MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire.

As a Member of Parliament I have a range of responsibilities.

• I seek to serve all my constituents, whatever their politics and wherever they live in the constituency. I am everyone's local MP and I try to respond to anyone in the constituency who feels I might be able to help them with a problem, however big or small. My regular surgeries provide a particular opportunity for individuals to raise their concerns with me.
• I stand up for Corby and East Northamptonshire to ensure that the needs of the constituency are properly represented in Parliament.
• As a Labour and Co-operative MP I work in Parliament to help implement the manifesto promises upon which I was elected - a fairer society here and abroad, a strong economy, better public services, and a safe and sustainable environment in which to live.
• I have my own enthusiasms, for example, a stronger voice and better services for young people, and more support for families.

As well as my duties as an MP, I am also Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), and have responsibilities including local government, fire safety, building regulation and the English regions.
