VENTURA, Calif., July 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Brooks Institute, the California-based school for students pursuing careers in the visual, new media and communication arts, has announced Edward Clift as president and Victoria Liptak as provost.
This news comes after Brooks' acquisition by gphomestay, the leader in enhancing international education opportunities for students, in June.

Prior to joining Brooks, Clift served as Founding Dean of the School of Media, Culture, and Design at Woodbury University in Burbank, Calif., where he led the division in preparing students for successful careers as creative professionals. He holds a doctorate in communication studies from the University of Utah and a master's degree from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. He has also earned a master of fine arts (MFA) in photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Clift is nephew of four-time Academy Award Nominee Montgomery Clift.

Liptak previously served as Chief Academic Officer and Interim Dean of Kendall College of Art and Design at Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, Mich. Liptak has a bachelor of arts in Linguistics from UC Santa Cruz and a Master of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
