Eurovision Song Contest - Past Winners | Entertainment (original) (raw)
An annual song contest televised across Europe with most European countries entering a song. Each country performs a song live on the night and once all the songs have been heard, each country votes for their favourite songs and award points to the top ten songs. The winning country is the song that has been awarded the most points. The winning country hosts the event the following year, so for example in 2006, Greece will host the Eurovision Song Contest.
Listed in the table below are all the past winners of the Eurovision song contest including the song title, the act who performed it live on the night, and the country they were representing. Also the cumulative score is listed along with the number of points scored above the second placed song (in brackets).
