There are many good restaurants in Alton, Alton Bay, Gilford, Laconia, Weirs Beach, Meredith, Center Harbor, Moultonborough, Tuftonboro and Wolfeboro. Fine dining and the most beautiful scenery in New England await you. Take a ride on the MS Mount Washington. While you are in here try a boat rental. You can enjoy boating on any of the wonderful lakes by renting a boat. Don't forget to eat at one of the many cafes and restaurants here. Buy a weather station to monitor the weather and the rain and the wind. It can be dangerous to go out on the lake without a GPS to help navigate the waters. Other tools to consider would be a VHS radio in case you get lost. A cell ph one is always a good idea. Marine gear is a good thing.
