Our vibrant community of 1.3 million Catholics is on a journey of faith together – growing closer to God and another as we explore, experience, and share the mystery of Christ. Visit the St. Callistus Chapel and Crypts

The final phase of Christ Cathedral’s transformation has been completed with the opening of the St. Callistus Chapel and Crypts! The chapel is named in honor of the original St. Callistus parish, which moved to Christ Cathedral when the property was acquired by the diocese.

The Romano-Byzantine-style chapel, located beneath Christ Cathedral, was blessed and dedicated on October 14, the feast day of St. Callistus I. The chapel and crypts is now open to the public. Book a tour at the link below!

fr ians homilies

Fr. Ian's Homilies: "Mystified by the Cross"

“And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, [Jesus] interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself” (Luke 24.27)—and in doing so, Jesus shows us that the scriptures are about Himself. Convicted by this truth, Fr. Ian preaches every weekend the mystery of Christ as revealed in the Sunday readings. It is Jesus who we seek—and in these homilies, Fr. Ian hopes to provide a glimpse of Him. Father Ian is a Roman Catholic Priest serving at Christ Cathedral in the Diocese of Orange in California.
