Critics Consensus

Despite a panel of X-Files' alums at the helm and a promising premise, flighty performances and poor execution keep Final Destination from ever taking off.

Will B Thought this was good. A story of fatalities, outlined that you can’t cheat death. 4 more films to follow. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/18/24 Full Review marley W Good film, good story line, quite original plot, but something just feels a bit cheap about the film, mabye it's the acting, or just hasn't aged very well Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/06/24 Full Review Charles C A pretty solid start to this franchise, a bit of a rocky beginning but after that its classic 2000's horror. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/05/24 Full Review Wolfgang G Der Horrorfilm Final Destination stammt von James Wong. … Final Destination ist gut durchdacht. Manchmal wirkt es zu sehr konstruiert. … Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/10/24 Full Review Jayster 3 Great gore, and great premise. The entire concept Final Destination introduces to the franchise is amazing and original. This is definitely one of the most original horror movies and has great ways of killing characters off. It’s characters are quite decent characters with little flaws, but the characters don’t make us feel that bad whenever we see them die, but still provide satisfying gore whenever they do.
