Critics Consensus
Jeepers Creepers 2 is competently made, but it doesn't have the scares of the original.
J. R. Jones Chicago Reader The tag here is more silly than haunting, but this is still a pretty wild ride, with a fine, knife-wielding score by Bennett Salvay. Aug 2, 2022 Full Review Namrata Joshi Outlook Jeepers Creepers 2 is just plain silly. And comes to India a year too late. Rated: 1/4 Jan 7, 2019 Full Review Sheila Norman-Culp Associated Press Subtle as a brick, Jeepers Creepers 2 is what it is, and you either love it or hate it. Still, you have to admit that the Creeper (Jonathan Breck) is a fun villain. Nov 9, 2018 Full Review Mark H. Harris Black Horror Movies [I]t's kind of refreshing to see a film like this acknowledge real-world issues. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 6, 2020 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens [Victor] Salva has given Jeepers Creepers 2 legs sturdy enough to stand on its own without relying on the original. Nov 13, 2019 Full Review Steve Newton Georgia Straight Of course, the thing doesn't actually die. It just folds up its face and hibernates for another 23 years, or at least until the inevitable Jeepers Creepers 3: More Goo for You. Rated: 2/5 Feb 9, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/08/24 Full Review Chade B Great sequel. Some dialogue is silly but doesn’t ruin anything for me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/25/24 Full Review Jason W Pretty decent sequel. I feel they were going for a bit of Freddy style comedy at points. Good special effects on the creature. Always a fan of Ray Wise. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/20/24 Full Review Audience Member Cool sequel but a lot less scary now that the creeper is a slasher basically but more up close visuals on the creeper and the lore makes it a good sequel Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/05/24 Full Review Maxi B This was the first movie of the Franchise that I watched when I was a kid. It really scared me back then. It doesnt have the same charme the first movie had, but its still a good movie. The Creeper in this movie actually had some "funny" moments. Enjoyable movie! Synopsis After his son is set upon by a scarecrow that seems to have come alive, farmer Jack Taggart Sr. (Ray Wise) and his son, Jack Taggart Jr. (Luke Edwards), go looking for an explanation. Meanwhile, a bus carrying high-school students breaks down nearby, and a creature known as the Creeper (Jonathan Breck) starts a killing spree. The elder Taggart soon realizes that the killings and the attack on his son are connected, and, after alerting the community to be on guard, he aims to pummel the Creeper.
