Note that until 2017, separate championships for Saint Croix and Saint Thomas/Saint John were played, with a playoff for the overall championship at the end of the season. The 1997/98 championship was presumably the first time an overall title was played for. The 2018/19 season was the first in which a league with clubs from both islands was organised; the abandoned 2019/20 season was the last.
