Welcome to the Scotland Historical Society

Scotland lies in the eastern corner of Connecticut, nestled between Willimantic/Windham and the towns of Canterbury and Plainfield. Our charter is to keep the history of Scotland available to the residents and anyone who may have an interest in our small town. Scotland was founded about the year 1700, and fully incorporated in 1857.

Our society was formed in 1979 to accept the gift of the Waldo house, including all propertes and contents. Take a few moments to review our town history, and find out how our town came to be.
