The paper is in the public domain the US because it's from before 1923, and faithful photographic reproductions of PD works are not copyrightable in the US. I believe it's also PD in the rest of the world, since Schwarzschild died in 1916. An English translation can be found here: http://arxiv.org/abs/physics/9905030
