Did you know that Americans will buy an estimated 25,000,000,000 single-serving, plastic water bottles this year? |
Twenty Five Billion PET drink bottles were consumed in North America last year. The raw material for those bottles is worth over $2 Billion and less than 20% was recycled. Currently PET blister pack and other PET packaging is not recycled at municpal recycling centers. Raw PET Resin produciton is estimated to be over 20 Billion pounds a year globally. Seretex takes PET beyond clothing, drink bottles, and blister packs and uses it in a much smarter way. Seretex products incorporate recycled PET into common structural products. The idea is not to build more products from plastic but rather to harness a wasted resource and find smarter uses for it. Seretex is working on products in several markets including: • Construction & Built environments • Sporting Goods • Automotive & Rail • Solar Energy • Wind Energy • Clean-Tech • Disaster Relief Shelters |
