Marvelous Mystery Game Is For PSP And Not Just For Japan (original) (raw)

One day before Marvelous’ countdown clock ends Famitsu spills the beans. The game it’s leading up to is Yuusha 30, a PSP action game with four game play modes. You control classes like a hero, princess, and a knight only for thirty seconds each round and each class has a different mini-game.
Hero mode is a 2D side scroller with sprite graphics while princess mode plays like a vertical shooter. The time controlling each character is brief, but Marvelous squeezed in RPG mechanics like leveling up and field events in Yuusha 30.
In hindsight the tricky clock gave a huge clue. It resets every thirty seconds. Also, we sort of new about the game before Famitsu told us! Way, way back at Tokyo Game Show Rising Star Games (aka Marvelous Europe) said they were releasing a little title called Hero for 30sec in 2009/10. If Rising Star is publishing it you can count on two things 1.) it’s not going to be in Japanese in Europe and 2.) Marvelous USA or another third party publisher will release this in North America.
