2026 Games
Join us February 19-21, 2026 for the 46th Simplot Games.
North America’s Premier Indoor High School Track & Field Event
The 46th Simplot Games will be held February 19-21, 2026, at Idaho State University’s ICCU Dome (formerly Holt Arena). The J.R. Simplot Company-sponsored event has become one of the nation’s premier high school indoor track and field events since it was first held in 1979.
Although the 2,100 athletes from 19 different states, Canada, and Australia who travel to Pocatello come to shine under the Dome’s bright lights, the Simplot Games weekend is about more than just standing atop a podium.
Competitors get the chance to mingle with Olympic legends like Andre Phillips, Willie Banks, Stacy Dragila, and more. The Games also offers recognition for everyone with the Parade of Athletes, a truly Olympic-style event.
Simplot Games is unique because it is an open meet, which means athletes do not need a certain qualifying time or distance to be able to compete. Everyone is welcome at the Games allowing all high school athletes the chance to compete and have fun. It truly makes Simplot Games an extraordinary experience.
Plus, admission to the Games is free.
The Games are more than a track meet. They have become a melting pot of young, aspiring individuals, dedicated business people and volunteers who grow, learn, and improve while coming together in the spirit of competition.
Don’t miss out on this amazing experience. Make sure the ICCU Dome is your destination this February.
Simplot Games Chair, Dick Fosbury passes away
We mourn the passing of our friend Dick Fosbury. He will forever be remembered as a pioneer in the high jump—a gold medalist who transformed his event to a degree that few athletes in any sport could claim. For us, though, he meant so much more.

Success Stories
Allyson Felix
Simplot Games 2001, 2002, 2003
Some may have predicted Olympic glory for Allyson Felix when she first competed at Simplot Games in 2001 as an outstanding high school sophomore, but even the most optimistic could not have foreseen her sustained success over the two decades since. As the most decorated track and field athlete, she’s definitely made her mark.
Ryan Crouser
When Ryan Crouser won the 2016 Olympic shot put gold medal, setting a Games record in the process, the then-23-year-old surprised many onlookers who recognized his potential but thought it wasn’t yet his time to win. He followed that up with another gold medal in Tokyo and a third gold medal in Paris.
Tara Davis-Woodhall
Simplot Games 2015, 2016, 2017
In 2017, as Tara Davis prepared for the third and final Simplot Games of her high school career, she said, “I want to be somebody and do something. I want to go to the Olympics. I want to change the game of the long jump. If I bring my attitude and drive to the long jump, people will get more excited about it.” We believe she is correct. Not only did she go to the Olympics twice, she has a gold medal to show for it.
Hunter Woodhall
Before Hunter Woodhall won the 400M at Simplot Games his senior year of high school, he already had 2 Paralympic medals – a silver and a bronze – from Rio. Since then, he’s added another bronze from Tokyo as well as gold and bronze in Paris.
