How We Do It
We keep Society Hill thriving by preserving the historic residential character of our neighborhood, enhancing public spaces, protecting historic landmarks, advocating for neighborhood needs, keeping residents well-informed, and providing a forum to address quality-of-life issues for Society Hill.

Annual membership dues play a vital role in enriching the quality of life in our historic district. Your support helps fund initiatives that make a real difference for our community. We’re also deeply grateful to the local businesses whose generous contributions sustain our efforts, and we encourage our members to show their support by shopping local.

Society Hill History
Society Hill, one of Philadelphia’s most cherished historic neighborhoods, holds the largest collection of 18th- and early 19th-century buildings in the county. Our streets feature iconic Federal and Georgian style row houses, brick sidewalks, gardens, and mid-20th century high-rises. Designated a historic district in 1971, Society Hill is a model of sustainable urban living that blends colonial charm with modern touches.
