Tuesday, November 12 • 7:00-8:00 pm "Aging Worlds: Tracing the Evolution of Planetary Systems� by� Prof. Melinda Soares-Furtado. How do planetary systems evolve over time, from their youthful beginnings to their eventual decline? Using several star-planet systems as case studies, we'll dive into the processes that lead to planet-star interactions in aging systems. These examples help illustrate broader insights into the composition, formation, and ultimate fate of these worlds. Ongoing studies from HST and JWST are shedding new light on planetary evolution across different stages of stellar life cycles. This program will be presented both vrtually and in person.
