Fáilte and Welcome to Scoil Chronáin, St. Cronan's school website. Located in Brackenstown, Swords, Co. Dublin, our school is a co-educational senior school with over 600 pupils. Latest News and Events Picture Fire Engine Visit Swords Fire Fighters visited our 3rd classes last week and brought their fire engine! Picture Bí Cinealta We celebrated Friendship Week throughout the school this week. Every class did different activities and learned about what makes a good friend and how to deal with bullying if we see it happening or if it happens to us.We launched our new Bí Cinealta student policy which is now displayed in every classroom and throughout the school. This is a new addition to our website and each class will have their podcast added throughout the year as it is created.**Tá súil agam go mbainfidh sibh taithneamh astu!**​ Picture Safer Internet Day​ ​Safer Internet Day will take place globally on February 7th. The theme of this event is 'Together for a Better Internet'. The importance of responsible, respectful, critical and creative use of digital technology will be promoted around the world. The pupils will be engaging in specific lessons on Internet Safety at school next week. We will be running a poster competition to promote the event. Please chat to your child about this important topic. Picture Parents Plus The Parents Plus charity have sent us some information on some high quality parenting programmes they provide. Dates for Your Diary March 2026​ School Calendar 2025-2026.Beidh Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl sa scoil ó Márta 1 go dtí Márta 17!We will participate in Engineer's Week during March.School will be closed on Friday 13th March for staff training.School will be closed on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th March. It will reopen on Wednesday 18th March at 9am.School will finish on Friday 27th March at 12pm for Easter Holidays. The next term will begin on Monday 13th April at 9 am.Our fourth class pupils will continue swimming lessons in February.
