Sisters of St. Louis - Home (original) (raw)
We are women of prayer, committed to working towards a world healed, unified and transformed.
Ut Sint Unum – that all may be one – is our Charism.
Our Charism calls us to grow towards oneness in Christ and to foster right relationships with ourselves, others, God and the whole of creation. In the spirit of Sint Unum, we work towards:
- Living God’s love for the whole of creation
- Standing in solidarity with those who have no voice
- Responding to the radical call to conversion
- Transforming unjust structures
- Promoting peace and reconciliation
- Embracing diversity

Our Life

Our aim is to help develop right relationships in society by enabling individuals and communities to empower themselves without oppressing others.

We can be found in all aspects of the education system, from teaching at pre-school up to third-level, to involvement in administration, trusteeship, boards of management, and policy-making.

The Sisters of St Louis are engaged in a wide range of health care services. Some are trained as nurses, doctors, midwives, physiotherapists, hospital/clinic administrators and teachers.

Our pastoral work encompasses a wide range of activities, from our humblest encounter with a living creature to our passionate concern for the universe. We participate in justice and ecology groups, work for peace, and campaign and lobby on behalf of the marginalised.
