- CBS Studios has extended its first-look deal with Jared for him to develop and produce new series projects across linear and streaming. This could include a potential spinoff from his role on Fire Country.
Fire Country
Edgewater's About to Get Real Cozy
Camden Casey makes an impact as he arrives in Edgewater as the new cadert coach for Ladder 42 - Bode's new boss. He's having a quiet drink at Bode's, although people are already noticing the tall guy wearing a Dodger's shirt and flip flops. When some of Diego's friends pick a fight with Bode over his role in breaking up Deigo and Gabriella, Cam steps in and with the a well-timed chuck of his footwear and the use of some salt and pepper, he defuses the situation.
There's no time for long introductions as a plane has crashed on the outskirts of Edgewater. Cam gets Bode up on top of the place putting out a fire in the cockpit, despite Jake telling Cam this is against the rules for trainees. Obviously Cam is a rulebreaker, and that suits Bode just fine!
As the town tries to accomodate all the passengers from the plane, Cam helpfully tells Bode and the audience his back story. Ten ofhis crew died in a bad fire, and Cam thinks he could've saved them if he had followed his gut and not the rules. "You have a wolf inside you, and you got to feed it and don't ever put it in a cage." he tells Bode who I supect will get this on a tshirt. later Cam give Jake some advice about Bode: "You gotta let him be free to run into the fire and not worry that he's going to burn." which seems like unwise advice for a firefighter.
Other developments durng the episode are that Bode and Gabs are hooking up on the regular, Bode's mother Sharon is being gaslight by doctors about her health, Eve tries to reconcile with her brother, and Daddy Leon and Cadet Audrey sing a song.

The Boys

Jensen made a surprise appearance at The Boys panel in Hall H at Comic-Con 2024 with two big announcements. First up, Soldier Boy will return to The Boys in Season Five of The Boys, with Jensen as a series regular. "The motherfucker's back," announced Kripke.
On top of that, Jensen will star as Soldier Boy, alongside Aya Cash as Stormfront, in a prequel to The Boys called Vought Rising. Both Jensen and Aya are also producers on the show. As reported in Deadline:
“It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”
We have already had a hint of Soldier Boy and Liberty's (aka Stormfront) past in Season 3 when Soldier Boy said they founded "Herogasm", the Annual Supe Orgy, together.
If you can't wait til 2026, then Creation Entertainment are holding a convention to celebrate the show in October in New Jersey.
Countdown
Jensen has been cast to star in “Countdown,” a new, 13-episode Prime Video series created by Derek Haas and produced by Amazon MGM Studios. Filmining will start in L.A. in September.
From the official press release:
Countdown starts following a suspicious murder in broad daylight, which leads to LAPD officer Mark Meachum (Jensen Ackles) being recruited to join a secret task force of undercover agents from all branches of law enforcement to investigate. But as the truth of a more sinister plot comes into focus, the team must overcome their conflicting personal agendas to unite and save a city of millions.
Derek Haas is a writer of film, (including 2Fast2Furious and 3:10 to Yuma), TV (the "Chicago" franchise and FBI:International) and novels.

Chaos Machine
- At Jus In Bello Italy 2024 Jensen talked about how he and Danneel work with Chaos Machine and confirmed that they had just sold a show, and had also optioned a novel for development.
- ‘One Tree Hill’ Sequel Series in Development at Netflix with Chaos Machine and Warner Brothers set to produce. Original series stars Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Daneel Ackles are executive producing the reboot. The serieswill pick up 20 years after the original, centered on Peyton and Brooke's lives as parents to teens. Daneel may also appear as Rachel in the show.

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Two featuring Jensen as Batman is available from April 24.

- A series based on the 1982 Speilberg movie Poltergeist in development at Amazon, has named Kalinda Vasquez and Robbie Thompson as showrunners. Robbie was a Supernatural writer and producer for seasons 7 through 11 before helming The Winchesters. Vasquez has worked most recently on Star Trek: Discovery and Fear The Walking Dead.

- At Creation Columbus 2024, Jensen mentioned there was a lot of interest in the industry in rebooting series from the 70s and 80s, and that he'd recently had a meeting about one. Misha revealed he is developing a feature film that he hopes to shoot in the winter next year. He said it has "some political themes and its about this country and the divided nature of this country that plays out in a family".
