� � � � Systems Biology of Microorganisms SysMO is a European transnational funding and research initiative on "Systems Biology of Microorganisms". � The goal pursued by SysMO is to record and describe the dynamic molecular processes going on in unicellular microorganisms in a comprehensive way and to present these processes in the form of computerized mathematical models. � Systems biology will raise biomedical and biotechnological research to a new quality level and contribute markedly to progress in understanding. Pooling European research capacities and know-how in this field will set the trend in international competition. � SysMO is financed by the partner countries Austria, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, United Kingdom and Spain. They have issued a joint call in August/September 2005 and provide funding for transnational projects. SysMO is coordinated by Germany. NEWS SysMO projects The�eleven SysMO projects started in March 2007 (see Press Releases for more information). � Kick-off meeting The project leaders will meet at the Kick-off meeting in Edinburgh.
