Thomas Grey, 2nd Marquess of Dorset was born on 22 June 1477.1 He was the son of Thomas Grey, 1st Marquess of Dorset and Cecilia Bonville, Baroness Bonville and Harington.2 He married, firstly, Eleanor St. John, daughter of Oliver St. John and Elizabeth Scrope.3 He married, secondly, Margaret Wotton, daughter of Sir Richard Wotton and Anne Belknap, in 1509.4 He died on 10 October 1530 at age 53.1
He gained the title of 2nd Marquess of Dorset.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baron Ferrers, of Groby [E., 1299] on 20 April 1501.5 He succeeded as the 8th Lord Astley [E., 1295] on 20 April 1501.6 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.)7 He succeeded as the 3rd Lord Bonville [E., 1449] before 2 June 1530.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.8

Margaret Wotton was born in 1487.3 She was the daughter of Sir Richard Wotton and Anne Belknap.4 She married, firstly, William Medley in 1505.3 She married, secondly, Thomas Grey, 2nd Marquess of Dorset, son of Thomas Grey, 1st Marquess of Dorset and Cecilia Bonville, Baroness Bonville and Harington, in 1509.1 She died after 6 October 1535.1
From 1509, her married name became Grey.1

Adrian Stokes was born in 1533.1 He married, firstly, Lady Frances Brandon, daughter of Charles Brandon, 1st Duke of Suffolk and Mary Rose Tudor, on 9 March 1554.1 He married, secondly, Anne Carew, daughter of Sir Nicholas Carew, on 20 April 1572.2 He died in 1585.1 He was also reported to have died on 3 November 1581.
He held the office of Master of the Horse. He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire in 1559.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Leicestershire in 1571.2
