Key Engineering Materials (KEM) is a peer-reviewed periodical which covers entire range of basic and applied aspects of the synthesis and research, modelling, processing and application of advanced engineering materials.

Authors allowed to preserve pre-prints in arXiv and ChemRxiv and in case of publication of their paper in KEM, authors should update pre-print by linking it to corresponding paper's DoI. Authors retain the right to publish an extended, significantly updated version in another periodical.
Each submitted paper in Key Engineering Materials (KEM) is a subject of obligatory peer-review by at least two independent external reviewers in the area of scientific research.

Data sharing and/or reproducibility is done individually in line with copyright agreement or Creative Commons license.
Each submitted paper is a subject of plagiarism check via iThenticate, as well as eligibility with international standards and requirements.
