Senna named to NASL team of the week (original) (raw)
The NASL announced their team of the week for the 26th week of the NASL season on Tuesday. After a 2-2 draw with the Tampa Bay Rowdies that saw the Cosmos lock themselves into the third seed for the upcoming playoffs, one Cosmos' player and one of their opponents both found themselves recognized.
For the Cosmos, Marcos Senna found himself honored after scoring with a beautiful free kick. Unfortunately, in addition to his contribution to the draw, Senna also found himself in a bit of controversy receiving a stoppage time red card that the club have since appealed.
Evans Frimpong was also named to the team of the week, having scored a brace against the Cosmos. Here's the full squad for the penultimate of the fall season:
