Havasi Symphonic - Arena Budapest show - when creativity meets talent and passion (original) (raw)

Yesterday I couldn't wait to see Havasi performing live, to me, it's the highlight of the year. Hungarian pianist and composer Balázs Havasi has been making his debut all around the world with an innovative concert of his symphonic compositions: Sidney Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Winer Stadthalle, just to name a few places. The show filled the Arena in Budapest 12 times already. His innovation is blending classical traditions with today's music paired with sound and lights effects.

He was graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. He has a special talent and the ability to engage with his audience, he is acting so natural on the stage. Havasi first played the piano at the age of four, according to his mother, anytime he got angry or pissed up he closed himself in his room and started to play the piano.

My absolute favorite one of the new pieces was the "Empty House", Havasi is often inspired by the impulses of the everyday life. When the Hungarian short film, Mindenki (Sing) by Kristóf Deák won at the Oscars in Los Angeles, Havasi was inspired by that and wrote an incredible piece on the original song of „Bodzavirág”. That was the moment, when mobiles were lightning like candles in the Arena.

There are some hits from the previous years I especially love: "My Homeland" was inspired by his beloved grandparents, probably it's the most touching piece. He is usually closing his shows with the energetic and wild „Storm”, one of my favorite as well, he said about it once: “When the storm breaks, each man acts in accordance with his own nature. Some are dumb with terror, some flee, some hide. And some spread their wings like eagles and soar on the wind.”

Havasi launched the Drum & Piano Project with his friend, Endi Kiss, it's a special match of the classical piano and the rock drum. To me, the best part of the show is when Endi is featured, who is full of energy and always brings something funny and original to the stage.

An extremely talented team is standing behind the Havasi Symphonic with the amazing singer**, Mókus Edina Szirtes**, the multi-talented conductor, Péter Pejtsik, the incredibly professional drum player, Endi and the dynamic ExperiDance. Two years ago he was performing with Lisa Gerard, last year Leona Lewis was invited to the show and this year Ronan Keating was singing live with the Havasi Symphonic. World class performances indeed!

However he was touring the whole world in 2017, he will continue with exclusive shows in the future, he dared to dream big and he is giving a show in Las Vegas next year. I'm sure it will be a huge success as well. Days after his performance you are still under its impact, Havasi has an impulsive personality and makes an extraordinary show.

Hats off to you, Balázs! Hungary is proud of you, keep up the good work! See you next year at the Arena, I'll be there!
