UNREDD Programme (original) (raw)
Building a Future with Forests
The UN-REDD Programme is the flagship UN knowledge and advisory partnership on forests and climate. We work to reduce forest emissions and enhance forest carbon stocks.
We support countries to realize forest solutions to the climate emergency by reducing carbon emissions and fostering carbon sequestration for at least 5 GtCO2e annually.
Our impact reaches across 65 countries, leveraging the unique strengths of FAO, UNDP, and UNEP to drive transformative climate action worldwide.
Our strategy is designed to help countries increase climate ambition, unlock financing, and advance the implementation of REDD+ and the Paris Agreement, with a particular focus on Articles 4, 5, and 6.
