Upgrade Cepis – Retired - Livewire Dev (original) (raw)
The following information has been provided for archival and general reference purposes:
UPGRADE was a bi-monthly European informatics e-journal that covered many diverse topics of particular interest to IT professionals and academics. Established international specialists published papers on research and technological developments during the period of 2000 to 2011. It allowed UPGRADE’s subscribers to develop their technical expertise and to broaden their knowledge of informatics. Established in 2004, this section of UPGRADE was a network of publications created by European informatics societies. It provided a platform for a wealth of knowledge from different IT societies across Europe who regularly contributed information from their own publications to a wider, pan-European audience.
UPGRADE was the anchor point for UPENET (UPGRADE European NETwork), the network of publications, paper o electronic, from CEPIS member societies.
UPGRADE was published, on behalf of CEPIS (Council of European Professional Informatics Societies), by Novática, bimonthly journal of the Spanish CEPIS society ATI (Asociación de Técnicos de Informática).
UPGRADE appeared bimonthly in English online (no printed edition was available) and its monographic section was also published In Spanish (full edition printed; summary, abstracts and some articles online) by Novática.
Upon completion of the project, Upgrade-Cepis.org was retired and brought into the LivewireDev IT family.
