VAMAS supports world trade in products dependent on advanced materials technologies, through International collaborative projects aimed at providing the technical basis for harmonized measurements, testing, specifications, and standards.

Active Intercomparison Exercises
There are calls for global participation in a number of active projects. All particpation is voluntary and open to anyone with the capability and resources to undertake the measurement. For further information, contact the persons listed in the relevant project information flyers in the first instance.

VAMAS Steering Committee (SC) Meeting

The 49th SC meeting was held in Rio de Janeiro with participants from six continents. An associated Technical Workshop**'Materials for a greener world'** was held involving international speakers and government representatives from Brazil. A new Technical Work Area (TWA 46) on Semiconductors was initiated at the meeting The 50th SC meeting will be hosted in London in September 2025.

VAMAS and EURAMET sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

The MoU aims to foster cooperative activities related to metrology for advanced materials and to support the development of high-quality, documentary standards and reference materials.
