'90210' alum also penning feature for Michael London
“90210” alumna Jennie Snyder Urman is juggling a pair of drama prospects at CBS and CW through CBS TV Studios.
The CBS project is a gumshoe vehicle about a pair of once-married private eyes who reunite professionally after their fortunes both take a turn for the worse. It’s being developed with Ole, the CBS-based production partnership of helmer Richard Shepard and producers Bryan and Sean Furst.
Urman is writing the script and will exec produce with Shepard and the Fursts.
The CW project revolves around a femme medical student who discovers that working as an intern at a big hospital is a lot like being in high school. Urman is writing and will exec produce with Dan Jinks.
Beyond her TV work, the scribe is working on a feature script, “Me vs. Me,” for producer Michael London, Das Films and Reese Witherspoon.

Urman is also doing a rewrite on a pilot she fielded for CW and CBS TV Studios last spring, “Danni Lowinski,” based on a German drama series. CW execs liked the finished product enough to give it another shot with a script revise.
Urman spent three seasons as a writer-producer on CW’s “90210.” Her past credits also include “Gilmore Girls” and “Men in Trees.”
She’s repped by UTA and attorney Bruce Gellman of Felker Toczek.
