Microscopes are scientific instruments that allow you to observe very small objects and make them look bigger so you can see more detail that could ever be seen without help. Compound microscopes have at least two lenses and were invented in the 1950s. The first microscopes were called flea glasses because they were used to study small insects.
Nanoscience and nanotechnology are the study of extremely small things and could be used across to many scientific fields like biology, physics and chemistry.
