· An Jan. 4 Sports article incorrectly described Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis as a former AOL executive. Although Leonsis stepped down from his day-to-day responsibilities with the company at the end of the year, he retains the title of vice chairman.

· A Jan. 4 Metro article about the removal of a convicted killer's ashes from Arlington National Cemetery incorrectly said that he was laid to rest with full military honors in August 2005. Russell Wayne Wagner received standard military honors, and his ashes were inurned there in July 2005.

· A Reliable Source item in the Jan. 4 Style section incorrectly said that Carol Browner's upcoming marriage to Tom Downey will be her second. It will be her third.

· A Jan. 2 Style column on F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby" incorrectly said it is disputed whether Fitzgerald said that "the rich are different from the rest of us." What is widely debated is whether Ernest Hemingway joked in response, "Yes, they have more money."

· A Jan. 2 Business article about the future of air travel incorrectly said that the Registered Traveler Program includes retina scans. The part of the eye that is scanned for identification purposes is the iris.

· A Jan. 2 Health article misidentified the chairman of the department of health, behavior and society at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His name is David Holtgrave, not John Holtgrave.

· The Dec. 29 Style review of the movie "The Painted Veil" incorrectly described the character played by Liev Schreiber as American instead of British and the character played by Naomi Watts as blond rather than brunette.

· A photo with a Dec. 29 Weekend article on the "Lobster Boy Revue" was incorrectly credited. It was by John Ulaszek.
