Summary:Leases, rent ledgers, contracts, work and business records, ordinances, court records, militia records and correspondence with tenants and employees of the manor. These records comprise the operational records of the manor. They record the lease of lands, the collection of rents, the operations of the various commercial enterprises by the manor and other aspects of the daily operation of the manor. The records date to the first patroon, Kiliaen Van Rensselaer to the period when the Van Rensselaer family sold most of their holdings to Walter Church. Also includes personal letters of Stephen Van Rensselaer (1764-1839) and his heirs
