Summary:This collection documents Rothschild's personal and professional life. The papers include writings, correspondence, reports, photographs, and Rothschild's oral history recorded for the Schlesinger Library. The collection also contains her daily intimate diaries written during the 1970s and 1980s, as well as her travel diaries which reflect the many trips around the world taken by the Rothschilds. Maurine Rothschild's philanthropy, much of which combined her passion for art collecting with donations, loans and exchanges of art with museums around the world, is emphasized through her monetary contributions to many different organizations.
