Summary:Cataloged Jerome Weidman materials include drafts and galleys of most of Weidman's novels, short stories, essays, and plays. I CAN GET IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE and FIORELLO! are represented, as are THE ENEMY CAMP, OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, and THE SOUND OF BOW BELLS. Manuscripts of Weidman's "Good Reading" series for HOLIDAY magazine are also present. Correspondence with agents, publishers, editors, fans, and organizations dates from 1934 to 1969. Among the correspondents are Weidman's literary agents Carl and Carol Brandt; his publishers, including Simon and Schuster, Doubleday, and Random House; and editors of numerous periodicals. Other major correspondents include Kay Boyle, Humphrey Cobb, Alistair Cooke, Lillian Hellman, Gypsy Rose Lee, W. Somerset Maugham, and Irving Wallace.
