Contains 4 full-page portraits of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, one from the original painting by Chappel, one engraved by J. Sartain and one by J.C. Buttre. The fourth one has legend: Entered according to act of Congress A.D. 1862

Bound in dark brown levant morocco, gilt, with silk moiré endpapers
