Summary:Lees' SILENT SPRING file includes clippings of reviews and editorials including his own article "Not So Silent Spring" about SILENT SPRING by Rachel Carson, and about pesticide and herbicide effects. These were gathered by Lees while he was Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society as evidence against the book, particularly its anti-pesticide stance. Also included are Lees' notes and correspondence on the same topic with many garden clubs, university horticultural departments, newspapers, radio stations, pesticide companies, horticultural organizations, and colleagues
