Summary:Photographs form all stages of Roosevelt's life and career, photos of his family, friends and associates, of Sagamore Hill and other places associated with him. There are pictures of his childhood; his early political activity in New York State; ranching days in South Dakota; activity as a Rough Rider; service as Governor of New York and as Vice President of the U.S.; Presidential photographs, including both formal and informal group and individual photographs; photos of TR at public gatherings and giving speeches; and pictures taken after his Presidency, both at home and on travels. Family photos include group and individual pictures of his wife Edith and of all his children; photos of other relatives, ancestors and descendants; friends, government associates, servants and workers at Sagamore Hill, and pets. Photos of Sagamore Hill include both historic (pre-1953) and modern views of the interior and exterior of the house and grounds, and pictures of various events at the Historic Site. Also miscellaneous pictures relating to naval affairs, the White House, the Panama Canal and other sites and structures; landscapes; postcards; and photgraphs of artworks depicting TR, including paintings, sculptures, cartoons and caricatures
