Summary:The Judith Mara Gutman papers, 1949-1999, document the career and personal life of the social historian and author. The collection includes personal and professional correspondence; typescript drafts of published and unpublished articles and books; and research files, mainly concerning her 1982 book and exhibition on Indian photography, Through Indian Eyes, and her biography of Lewis W.
