Summary:Correspondence, advertisements, articles, clippings, and promotional materials concerning Kaufmann's Sulphur Bitters, a typical "cure-all" nostrum, 1909-1931; Abbott E. Kay, a radium-cure quack, 1910-1961; the Keeley Cure, a dubious alcoholism treatment offered by a chain of "Keeley Institutes" headquartered in Dwight, Illinois, 1904-1965; and the Keep Well Institute, a cold-cure racket run by one H.D. Van Gasbeek, 1929. Kay operated under the names "Aaban Radium Company" and "Vrilium Products Company," purveying the "Pandeb," a pencil-shaped device worn next to the body, as well as "Vrilium."
