Summary:Correspondence, reports, blueprints and photographs from the Office of the President, largely created during the presidency of Peter Mennin (1962-1983). Almost every aspect of Juilliard's educational, artistic, administrative and financial activities is documented in these records. Among the chief topics are planning and construction of the Juilliard building at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts; founding and operations of the Drama Division (est. 1968) and the American Opera Center (est. 1969); American Conductors Program (1976); Dance Division; Juilliard Repertory Project; Juilliard String Quartet; contemporary music festivals; and relations with donors, philanthropic foundations and government agencies.
