Carlo J. Doyle, army officer, wrote to Sir William Rumbold, third baronet, about plans to return to London. Doyle also enclosed bills, which are not included, that Lord Hastings took care of in Rumbold's absence to keep Rush Moore from going to jail. Doyle also related incidents in which Rush Moore behaved less than honorably. In closing, Doyle offered to handle any commissions that Rumbold might have for him in London and noted that Lord Hastings was leaving shortly after a hunting excursion
