Summary:The collection is formed largely by the research and writings used by Gordon Huntington Harper for his dissertation and published volume on the relationship of Cardinal John Henry Newman and the scientist, William Froude during the period 1845-1864. The papers include typescript of chapters and of letters from the correspondence of Newman and Froude.
