Summary:The Mary Geraldine Hatt papers comprise 2 cubic feet and spans 1929-1996. By far the largest series in the collection is the Correspondence series, which includes an Indiana University subseries. This subseries holds correspondence between Hatt and her parents during her freshman and sophomore years at IU. At 1 cubic foot it is, to date, the largest collection of student correspondence the Archives holds. Also prominent in the papers are Hatt's collection of travel diaries she kept during her frequent trips throughout the world - including the rental of a private plane for a trip around the world for her 78th birthday
