Summary:Collection includes diaries, writings, correspondence with family and friends, photographs, and scrapbooks. The collection documents the years (1961-1963) the Galbraith family lived in India while John Kenneth Galbraith was the US ambassador, as well as extensive other worldwide travels. Catherine Galbraith kept diaries from 1928 to 2008, from age 15 until the year of her death. Correspondence files include letters from a number of lifelong friends, as well as from heads of state, politicians, and other notable correspondents. In addition, the collection documents Galbraith's home life, mainly in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as the mother of four sons and the wife of a celebrated economist
