Abstract:Consists of correspondence, speeches, administrative records relating to Daily's presidency at Indiana University, testimonies on charges brought against Daily, biographical information, and financial records. The testimonies chronicle charges made against Daily that he accosted a woman in the street and that he was seen publicly intoxicated. The charges were dropped but he nevertheless resigned as president of IU. Prominent correspondents in the collection include IU professor Theophilus A. Wylie and Daily's brother D.O. Daily, a lawyer in Huntington, Ind. at the time they were corresponding
