Summary:The volume is a typical pocket engineer's notebook in which Hoopes recorded various bits of information for personal use, such as tasks to be done, production schedules, lists of charges run and the like. The actual nature of the end products is concealed by the use of codes, although from certain of Hoopes's notes, it is clear he was working with uranium. The book also contains notes on a meeting on plant security of Feb. 16, 1944, noting the prevalence of rumors and the need to tighten security education at the works
