Summary:Two photograph albums and 101 photographic prints compiled by Chief Engineer William A. Dougan's family from 1916 to 1935. One photograph album with a loose leather cover consist of family and voyage photographs from 1916-1919, with several photographs are taken aboard the steamer Roanoke, and including a page of 3 small tintype portraits of William A. Dougan as an infant, Bob Bennett and Ethel & Marguerite. The second album has a leather cover labeled "Photographs" has about half devoted to the shipwreck and salvage of the steamer Bear in 1916, with the remainder documenting voyages and trips to Hawaii and other locations, including one photograph of Duke Kahanamoku posing in front of his surf board. The collection includes an additional set of 101 loose photographic prints and cellulose nitrate negatives related to Chief Engineer Dougan's career and family
