Summary:This collection contains correspondence sent to Rev. Jonathan Wainwright of New York, as well as papers given by Dr. W.A.M. Wainwright of Hartford, Connecticut. There are also several letters from Lydia Huntley Sigourney, and a poem she wrote on the death of Miss Elizabeth Talcott. Dr. Wainwright wrote about the higher education of women, chloroform, and addressed the Hartford County Medical Association's Centennial Celebration in 1892. Additionally the collection contains an 1845 diploma from Columbia University and an 1892 invitation to Dr. Wainwright to attend the dedication ceremonies of the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago
