Summary:Dr. Niederland was concerned with the origins of creativity in famous individuals. He concentrated on studying the archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann, his life and career, from a psychoanalytic point of view. His studies resulted in a number of papers and publications including: "An Analytic Inquiry into the Life of Heinrich Schliemann" (N.Y., 1965); "Psychoanalytic Profile of a Creative Mind ..." (Basel, 1965); and "Trauma und Kreativitaet" (Frankfurt, 1989.)
