Summary:The papers of Isaac Tichenor cover the years 1771 to 1833 and consist of both personal and business correspondence. Sprinkled throughout the collection are letters from various political figures, including Timothy Pickering, John Lansing, and Vermont Governors Thomas Chittenden and Moses Robinson. Papers relating to Tichenor's service as a purchasing agent for the Northern Department and as a Commissioner to settle with New York have been separated from the general correspondence.
