24 Nov 1685 Brandenburg leases a factory on St. Thomas from the Danish
West India Company (taking possession on 24 Nov 1686);
administered by the Brandenburg-African Company (Sep 1692 - 1701,
Brandenburg-African-American Company; 1701-1717 Royal Prussian
African Company)(supplemental agreements 5 Mar 1686, 2 Oct 1686).1693 Brandenburg lands on St. Thomas are seized by the Danes
without resistance or repayment, but the factory remains.
1727 Governor Suhm brought legal proceedings against Bourdeaux as the
company's representative for the outstanding land rent.
1731 Brandenburg possessions are confiscated by the Danes.
