NWS Will Hold 2008 Chris Candido Memorial Jersey J-Cup Tournament in Manville, NJ on Saturday 4/26, With Twelve Cruiser/Middleweight Stars, WWE's "Master Of The Worm" Scotty Too Hotty & More
A New Jersey tradition returns again to Manville, NJ when National Wrestling Superstars, the premiere pro wrestling promotion in the Northeast, will once again present the annual Chris Candido Memorial Jersey J-Cup Tournament on Saturday night April 26th at the Manville VFW Hall (600 Washington Avenue, just off Main Street & minutes from I-287) with a 7:35pm bell time.

Candido, who passed away only three years ago, electrified audiences in the ring not only throughout only New Jersey, but the entire world, and was a much loved and missed superstar. The J-Cup Tournament, a tradition which has been running the past dozen years or so, has become a celebration of Candido's life and wrestling skills. This year, twelve of the top cruiserweights and middleweights from around the wrestling world will converge on Manville to compete for this coveted trophy, with stars such as PWU standouts Devon Moore and Drew Blood, Chikara Wrestling's Golden Lynx, PCWA stars Unbreakable Andy and Fantastic Maxx, WUW Wrestling's "Firebird" Jorge Santi, New York area stars Minyon and Sabotage, and all the way from Total Wrestling Entertainment in Texas, Brett Young, as well as a pair of NWS' own standouts in Nicky Oceans and Rhett Titus. The twelfth participant will be a surprise wrestler randomly-chosen the night of the tournament.

Speaking of surprises... Headlining the big event will be former WWE superstar, and master of "the worm", none other than Scotty Too Hotty. NWS is arranging for a special surprise opponent for Scotty, as his original opponent, former WWE Heartthrobs Tag-Team member "Romeo" Roselli has been sidelined with a torn ACL. Who will that surprise opponent be... come to Manville next Saturday night and find out!

Another big match on the card is certainly no surprise, as this feud has been brewing for months, but is bound to have the fans on the edge of their seats, as NWS Cruiserweight Champion, the perennial Delaware loudmouth J.D. Smoothie puts his title on the line against local hero and rising star Nate Mustang. Nate has been waiting since their last meeting in Manville for a shot at Smoothie's title, and he intends to make good on it.

Manville has become NWS' "home base" in central Jersey, and the fans always pack the place, especially for the annual J-Cup Tournament, so get your tickets as soon as possible, at only 18foradultsand18 for adults and 18foradultsand16 for kids and seniors, and can be purchased by calling NWS at (732) 888-1704. The Pennsylvania Heavyweight Championship has been recognized in the past. ECW briefly had a Pennsylvania Championship and numerous independents have had a PA Championship. This, however, will be the first Pennsylvania Championship recognized by The Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission. The Pennsylvania Wrestling Club was formed to oversee Championship Matches as the belt can be defended on any show running in Pennsylvania, including NWA, AWA and Ring Of Honor events if companies so choose. There will be no political boundaries with this Championship and membership in the Pennsylvania Wrestling Club is free. Currently, NCW, NEW, WPW, EWF, and LVW & numerous others are members with more promotions to be added. The Pennsylvania Heavyweight Championship belt was crafted by the legendary �King Of Belts� Reggie Parks. There is controversy surrounding the tournament. Results from NWA Empire's 2nd Anniversary show 4/12 at the St. Johnsburg Fire Hall in North Tonawada, New York:

1. "Mr. 300" JP Hawke defeated "Mr.Ass" Dewey Gunn

2. NWA Empire Lord of the Dance Champion Stargazer defeated "The Bull of Black Mountain" Gabe Saint in a non-title match

3. Blackjack Phoenix pinned Tommy Mandrake in a battle royal earning a title shot at Empire's next show June 21st. Featured in the battle royal were Phoenix, Mandrake, "Glamorous" Glenn Dillon, Mike McGee, "Party Boy" Brett Mednik, Troy Buchanan, "Wonderboy" Zach Atticus, Steve Davidson, and Rex Atkins

4. Ron Falco (w/Mandi Stroyer) defeated Brandon Thurston
After the match, Falco grabbed the mic and called out Brodie Lee for costing him and Eric Everlast, Final Solution, a victory against Rhythm & Booze and the last Empire show and forcing them to no longer team up. Lee didn't come out, so Falco called Lee a chicken and said that at the next Empire show, he was challenging Brodie Lee to a match and that the show wouldn't go on unless Lee faced him man to man in the ring.

5. NWA Upstate Tag Team Champions Rhythm & Booze (w/Colonel Johnny Kayfabe) defeated Dunn & Marcos (w/Nikki Jett) when Buddy Delmar pinned Dunn using the ropes for leverage.

6. "Mastiff" Will Christiansen defeated NWA National Champion Pepper Parks with a top rope diving headbutt after suffocating Parks with a plastic bag while referee Brett Vincent was down. Before the match, Mastiff said that Jimmy Olsen wasn't in the building because he was booked for another show. But he feels that the real reason was because Olsen is scared of him and said he hoped Jimmy would be watching his match because the next time he steps in the ring with him, he would be in for the fight of his life.

7. "Inferno" Johnny Adams defeated "The Rican Sensation" Maximo Suave

The have also vowed payback on Matthews after losing to them in a previous match in Tennessee.

Sweet and Sour Larry Sweeney vs. Drake Younger
The head of SNS Inc. comes back to the Chicagoland area to take on Drake Younger.

Idol Stevens vs. Joey Knight
Both contenders return to Second City Wrestling in their first ever meeting. Last show saw both Idol and Joey to score wins over their opponents, which one will keep their winning ways alive.

Also slated for competition that night: Former WWE tag champion The Ironman Rob Conway, Josie, Bad Rad 3000, The Heatseekers.
